SGS hosts regular meetings, a physical library, classes, workshops, and ongoing discussion groups, called Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Our library of research materials includes books, computers loaded with subscription websites, and a growing collection of databases of genealogical relevance. Our monthly meetings – Second Saturday and Virtual Sunday – feature speakers on a variety of genealogical topics. Our many and varied Special Interest Groups offer deeper explorations of our ancestors’ lives or a favorite genealogical tool. Tech Tuesday provides support for all tech questions. Brags and Bricks meets weekly for sharing accomplishments and finding support for next steps in your research. Most programs are offered virtually. Periodic field trips in the region offer small groups a chance to tour archives and repositories together in person. All these activities provide a means for building friendships, community, collaborations, and to learn while having fun.
And our dynamic volunteers keep everything running smoothly.
